Learn how utility companies operate and how regulatory agencies oversee those companies at a free community conversation June 22.
The Community Energy Engagement Network and RE-AMP Indiana will hold the event from 2-4:30 p.m. at the Indianapolis Urban League, 777 Indiana Ave. It will feature a conversation with Denise Abdul-Rahman, founder and chief equity officer of Black Sun Light Sustainability energy consultancy, and other energy experts.
To register, head to the event’s online registration site.
The talk comes ahead of the annual Mid-America Regulatory Conference, where utility and energy regulatory agencies from Indiana and 13 other states meet to discuss regulatory and policy issues. The conference is taking place in downtown Indianapolis between June 22-25.
It also comes as AES Indiana pursues another rate increase on Indy customers — its second in two years.
