Educators can take in local volleyball or baseball at a discounted rate during two upcoming Teacher Appreciation Nights.
Teachers can support Central Indiana’s new Indy Ignite professional women’s volleyball team at 7 p.m. April 25. This teacher appreciation event offers discounted tickets of $20 or $30 based on seating selection.
The Ignite will host the Orlando Valkyries at the Fishers Event Center, 11000 Stockdale St. Teachers can visit the Indy Ignite’s website to secure their tickets.
Educators can also take in an evening at the ballpark during the Indianapolis Indians’ Teacher Appreciation Night on May 17.
The Indians will take on the Louisville Bats at 6:35 p.m. Teachers can purchase tickets between $9 and $15.
The Indians will wear jerseys supporting the team’s affiliated Major League Baseball team, the Pittsburgh Pirates, during the evening, which is also a part of the team’s Prospects Weekend promotion.
The first 2,500 fans, ages 18 years and older, can pick up a bobblehead of pitcher Bubba Chandler. Athletes and coaches will also sign autographs before the game.
Doors open at 5 p.m. at Victory Field, 501 W. Maryland St. Teachers can purchase tickets by visiting the Indians’ website.
