Indiana Legal Services and Neighborhood Christian Legal Clinic will offer services from 3-7 p.m. July 29 at Central Library, 40 E. St. Clair St.
Legal staff can help with eviction sealing, criminal record expungement and taxpayer assistance.
The library’s social work team will also be there to give information on housing, education, health and food assistance.
There are income requirements for legal services.
Expungement and eviction sealing
Eviction sealing and expungement services are available for people earning below 125% of the federal poverty level. But you may be able to qualify if you make up to 200%.
For reference, according to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, 125% of the federal poverty level for a family of four is about $40,100.
Low-income taxpayer clinic
Tax consultations with both organizations are available to anyone, regardless of income.
To receive legal representation, your income must be below 250% of the federal poverty level. The clinic does not prepare tax returns.
