Families can participate in free fitness classes at an upcoming Indiana Public Schools event.
The free Health & Fitness Festival will run from 1-4 p.m. on May 11. It is organized by the IPS Family Academy.
Families are invited to participate in two 20-minute exercise classes as well as a community workout at Northwest Middle School, 5525 W. 34th St.
Free fitness swag bags will be available for each family. The festival also will feature yoga, hip hop, jump rope, boxing and mommy and me workouts. There also will be a basketball clinic, a take-home gardening activity and giveaways.
Event check-in begins at 12:30 p.m. May 11 and families can register in advance by visiting this IPS website.
