Holy Rosary Catholic Church will host the 41st annual Italian Street Festival from 5-11 p.m. June 12-13.
Entertainment includes classic Italian music, inflatables for kids and local performances. There will also be demonstrations and opportunities to play bocce at Edna Balz Lacy Family Park, 700 Greer St. Attendees will be able to view Italian-made vehicles, such as Ducati bikes and Vespa scooters, and purchase Italian cuisine from 25 vendors serving pastas, cheesecakes and more.
“The Italian Street Festival is more than just an event; it is a celebration of faith, family, and tradition,” said Holy Rosary’s Father Jerry Byrd in a press release. “We invite everyone to pull up a chair, share a meal, and become part of our Italian family for the weekend.”
On June 13, there will be a religious procession featuring a Blessed Virgin statue, priests, members of the Italian Heritage Society and performances from the Indianapolis Opera at 6:45 p.m. Then, the church will host a special Mass service at 7 p.m.
The event will be at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 520 Stevens St. Free parking is available at Eli Lilly, 893 S. Delaware St.
