Since IUPUI split into IU Indianapolis and Purdue University in Indianapolis in 2024, its downtown campuses have changed quite a bit.

Purdue’s building a new campus, as well as buying up land on and around Indiana Avenue. And while IU Indianapolis kept most of the buildings in the split, the college is still building a brand-new arena and a biosciences hub in the 16 Tech Innovation District.
