Ivy Tech’s Indianapolis campus is hosting a free community resource fair Oct. 8.

Community organizations and agencies will be at the event, which is focused on helping people access basic needs such as food, clothing and housing.

Attendees will learn about resources from groups such as the Center Township Trustee’s Office, Immigrant Welcome Center, Society of St. Vincent de Paul and United Way.

The resource fair is from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, in room 438 of Ivy Tech’s North Meridian Center, 50 W. Fall Creek Parkway N. Drive.

The event is free and open to the public. Prizes will be given out every hour from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., though you must be present to win. The final prize will be an electric bike.
