If you’ve been putting off filing your Free Application for Federal Student Aid, you can get help at an upcoming Martin University event.

Martin will hold a free financial aid help session from 4-6 p.m. April 11 at its campus, 2186 N. Sherman Drive. Staff from INvestEd will be on-site to help current and prospective students complete the form.

If you want to receive state aid like Frank O’Bannon grants, you should submit FAFSA by the state’s April 15 priority deadline. If you miss the deadline, you may not be eligible for state aid but could receive federal aid like Pell Grants.

Remember to create your Federal Student Aid account ahead of time, as the verification process can take several days.

If you’re planning on attending the April 11 event, you should bring:

  • A laptop (if you have one)
  • Federal Student Aid ID and password
  • Social Security or immigrant registration number
  • 2023 tax information or W2
