Starting early next year, Martin University will launch a virtual campus so students can take degrees online.

The university is currently offering its bachelor’s degree in business administration fully online, per Martin spokesperson Keona Williams. Students can also complete certificates in startup entrepreneurship and retail management online.

The business program is being offered asynchronously, or through recorded lectures and assignments, through the online Canvas learning platform. Some classes may include optional live discussions or office hours.

Students will be able to take up to two classes per semester and learn at their own pace. Classes required to complete the degree include accounting, microeconomics, marketing and business communications.

Prospective students can take a quiz to evaluate whether they’re a good fit for online education.

How to apply

The online business program is currently accepting students for the second half of the fall semester, which begins Oct. 20.

The virtual campus will officially launch early next year, and will serve as a hub for remote classes as Martin continues to add online programs. Martin’s spring semester begins Jan. 12.

Apply to Martin University online on the college’s website. For more information, contact admissions@martin.edu.
