Residents on the near east side are invited to a community meeting to discuss environmental issues.

The NESCO Environmental Town Hall will be 6-8 p.m. Sept. 24 at Englewood Christian Church, 57 N. Rural St.

Some of the topics that will be discussed include air quality, clean water and litter. Representatives from White River Alliance, Keep Indianapolis Beautiful, the Office of Sustainability, RecycleForce and the Marion County Public Health Department will be available to answer questions and share resources.

The meeting is free to attend and registration is not required. More information can be found on the town hall’s Facebook event page.
