The Indiana Fever is searching for an artist to design and hand-paint a mural for its new Sports Performance Center.
The 21-by-10-feet mural would be painted inside the parking garage where the players park. It would be completed in early 2027, ahead of the facility’s opening.
The team wants the mural design to be both interpretive and street art-inspired to illustrate the intensity of women’s basketball. It can feature the Fever’s colors and uniforms, but it cannot include player portraits or official team logos.
To be eligible, applicants must be professional mural artists who are at least 18 and live in Central Indiana, including Boone, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Johnson, Marion, Morgan or Shelby counties.
Got what it takes? The deadline to submit an application is July 5. An artist will be selected by July 31.
You can sign up to attend a virtual workshop on June 15 to learn more about the project and application process.
