If you’re looking for a way to use your skills to make a difference, you can meet people from more than 100 nonprofits at Leadership Indianapolis’ Get On Board event June 16. It’s a place for nonprofits to find new board members, committee members and volunteers.

This year’s event kicks off at 4:30 p.m. at Victory Field, and it will feature nonprofits that focus on education, health, social services, youth, the environment, animals, neighborhood growth and arts and culture. It’s free for anyone to attend, but you have to register ahead of time.

If you can’t make it, you can learn how to lead as a volunteer during the third and final part of Leadership Indianapolis’ workshop series. “Walking the Walk as a Volunteer Leader” is online from noon to 1 p.m. June 23. It’s $10 to register, but people who attended Get On Board will get a code to register for free. The workshop is for anyone who wants to be on a nonprofit board or wants to build relationships with nonprofits in their community.
