You have one more chance to say goodbye to Parkside Public House on Nov. 7.
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the restaurant will host an in house closeout sale. Guests will be able to buy cold, take-home biscuits and gravy packed to go with Parkside’s recipe tucked in the bag for $20.
The restaurant announced it was permanently closing after two years at its 2602 Shelby St. location in July. Owner Lexi Haines told Fox 59 the decision was caused by road closures impacting their influx of commuter customers, rising costs and tight budgets.
It is one of many locally-owned eateries around Indianapolis facing financial difficulties this year. Sakura, one of the earliest sushi spots in the city, and Social Cantina in Broad Ripple are also closing, as reported by IBJ earlier this week.
“Everything must go, and we’d rather it go home with you. Thank you for every first date, every brunch, every show, every night you stayed too late. You made this place what it was,” wrote Parkside Public House in an email promoting its Nov. 7 event.
