Is it time for your pet to get their shots? FACE Low-Cost Animal Clinic will host a pop-up vaccine clinic from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 13.

During the event, FACE offers $5 vaccines for dogs and cats at Frederick Douglass Park, 1616 E. 26th St. It’s a walk-up clinic, so you don’t have to register ahead of time. A FACE representative suggested arriving at the park early to get a place in line.

Veterinarians will serve about 300 animals in the three-hour period.

FACE is an organization meant to make caring for pets more affordable, to keep dogs and cats from going to the shelter or being euthanized. Outside of making access to vaccines more affordable, FACE offers low-cost spay and neuter surgeries for dogs and cats. If you bring in your animal, FACE will do a spay or neuter surgery for $130. If you bring in an outside cat you don’t own, it costs $65.

Donations fund pop-up vaccine clinic events and go toward FACE’s Spay it forward fund, which makes spay and neuter surgeries more affordable for pet owners who need help. You can donate online or add on a donation when you pay for an appointment.
