A recent article from Mirror Indy tells the story of Ty’trell Averitte-Bass and his life coach Daniel Mallory.
Ty’trell is a fellow with the city’s Indy Peace Fellowship, which offers one-on-one mentorship and resources to people who are at high risk of becoming perpetrators or victims of gun violence.
The pair met in June at the hospital where Ty’trell was recovering after being shot nine times.
Around the same time, a group of Indy Peace fellows were celebrating the very milestone Ty’trell is now working toward: graduation from the program.
