Skateland is dropping its admissions fees for two nights this summer.
The westside roller rink is partnering with several community organizations to promote safe summer activities.
From 6-8:30 p.m. June 9, Skateland will offer free admission to the first 200 families in attendance.
You’ll still want to bring some money with you, though. Skate rental will cost $5. There will also be raffle prizes.
Skateland, located at 3902 N. Glen Arm Road, is partnering with local groups Genesys Solutions, NAMI Greater Indianapolis and Stop the Violence Indianapolis to put on the event.
Next month, Skateland is working alongside Boundless Youth to organize a second free skate and school supply giveaway.
The event will be from 1-5 p.m. July 19. The first 100 youth attendees will be offered free admission to skate. The rink also plans to provide more than 200 backpacks filled with school supplies.
