An eastside food and clothing pantry is helping families plan ahead for Thanksgiving.

Sonny Day, a service founded by the Warren Township Council of PTAs, will offer special items at its Nov. 9 distribution in addition to the regular food products available to families during the pantry’s twice-a-month distribution days.

Sonny Day’s team has collected holiday favorites such as turkeys, stuffing, muffin mix, macaroni and cheese and pies to add to its regular collection of items.

Though the pantry serves mostly families from the Warren Township area, it’s open to everyone and there are no requirements to participate. The pantry generally offers distribution days twice a month, but drops down to one day during the holiday season.
