The Mind Trust is seeking teachers for its Indy Summer Learning Labs.

The labs are five-week summer enrichment programs that offer English and math instruction to incoming first through ninth grade students for free or at a low cost.

The programs run from June 17 to July 19 at more than 45 school and community-based locations across Marion County.

The Mind Trust is looking to fill about 250 instructional staff positions. The education nonprofit recruits, selects and places teachers for the summer programs in community-based locations, while school partners do their own hiring.

Three types of positions are open: supervising teachers, English and math teachers and classroom assistants. Teachers will be provided lesson plans, materials and support from academic deans.

The program pays supervising and instructional teachers up to $10,000 for one week of training and five weeks of instruction. Classroom assistants will earn $25 an hour. Instructional staff are expected to work five hours a day for about 25 hours a week.

Interested educators must pass a background check and provide their own technology device to access curriculum and track attendance. Training will take place in person June 10-14.

Educators can apply online. Hiring decisions will be made by April 1.
