You’ve been to the Monon, biked through the Pennsy, strolled through Pleasant Run and jogged the Nickel Plate. Now, there’s a new way to explore Central Indiana’s many trail systems.
The Trailways, a network of more than 800 miles of paved and green trails, is launching a digital platform with maps and a point system adventure pass for exploring and claiming prizes throughout the year.
Additionally, The Trailways will host the TrailMixer Festival April 25-May 3. The weeklong event invites cyclists, walkers and runners to participate in more than 50 activities, including yoga classes, food offerings, shopping experiences, music performances, guided tours and birdwalks.
Several local businesses, parks and restaurants along the trails, as well as cultural districts and hubs like The Amp at 16 Tech, the Factory Arts District and Hotel Broad Ripple are participating in the festival. You can see a full schedule of events here.
The Trailways initiative is led by Visit Indy and Central Indiana Community Foundation (CICF), in partnership with park systems and destination partners across Central Indiana.
