UIndy Online will launch its first three bachelor’s degrees this fall, the university announced May 5.

Starting in August, UIndy Online students will be able to earn bachelor’s of science degrees in health sciences, organizational leadership and elementary education. The education program is designed to help paraprofessionals, or school support staff, who have earned an associate degree become teachers.

The classes will be fully online and offered in an accelerated seven-week format. Tuition will be $400 per credit hour, or $1,200 for a standard three-credit class.

To encourage transfers, current students and recent graduates of Ivy Tech will be able to take their first UIndy Online class for free. Healthcare workers, employees at UIndy corporate partners, veterans, service members and military families are also eligible for the free class.

“We want to make that transfer very student friendly,” Dean Yimin Wang told Mirror Indy in February.  “This is to really enable community college students to have a head start.”
