Eastside middle schoolers can get a first look at high school life at an upcoming open house.
Warren Central High School will have an open house for eighth graders on Nov. 5 — though all community members are invited to attend.
The event will allow students and their families to get to know what Warren Central has to offer as they make decisions about where to attend high school.
Students can meet teachers, tour the school and learn about extracurricular activities. Included in the experience is a visit to Warren’s Walker Career Center, which is connected to the high school.
At the career center, students can tour the district’s newly renovated classroom and lab spaces, and learn about classes such as barbering, culinary arts and auto collision repair.
Students are also invited to tour the school’s athletic facilities, Freshman Learning Center, and academic advising center, where staff can help explain what teens need to prepare for to graduate high school.
If you go
The open house will be 5:30-7:30 p.m. Nov. 5 at Warren Central High School, 9500 E. 16th St. You can learn more about Warren Central, its classes and extracurricular programs, on the high school’s website.
