The title “Far From Ignant” has a double meaning: the people are far from ignorant, and they’re all from the far east side.
4200Kory’s star continues to rise. Over the last year, he released a deluxe version of his debut album “Cobra Son” and performed at the annual Chreece hip-hop festival, On the Radar podcast and NCAA Slam Dunk Championship half time show. In July, he released “4ubu,” a 7-track EP.
In January, he invited listeners to an intimate Tiny Desk-inspired show featuring local musicians like drummer Clint Breeze and saxophonist Brandon Douthitt at Ujamaa Community Bookstore.
P.S. Maldonna has been making waves as well. The emcee performed at Chreece this summer and released his debut album “STRAIGHT CASH” last winter.
King Dierre won album of the year at Naptones Awards for his debut album, “Whom Shall I Fear.”
