Still in search of school supplies as the kids return to class?
The We Care Community Festival and Back to School Bash will offer free groceries, haircuts and styling, diapers and health care services to families Aug. 23 at the newly renovated Washington Park, 3130 E. 30th St.
The festival will also feature an education summit where panelists such as Lawrence Township Superintendent Shawn Smith and Pike Township Superintendent Larry Young are expected to speak on the role of artificial intelligence in the classroom.
The free festival runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., but families are encouraged to attend early to take advantage of free supplies and services while they last. Admission is free but online registration is required for some giveaways and activities.
Attendees can find an event and activities guide online to help plan their visit.
