Eastsiders can celebrate the start of a new year and pick up free school supplies at Warren Township’s annual Back to School Celebration.

The event will offer free backpacks and haircuts while supplies last. There will also be games, raffle prizes and a special appearance by Indianapolis Indians mascot Rowdie.

Families can also learn about community resources and purchase snacks and drinks from food trucks.

The celebration will be 5-7 p.m. July 16 at Moorhead Community Resource Center, 8400 E. 10th St.
