The Bates-Hendricks Neighborhood Association is hosting a logo contest for its annual summer festival.

In September, the southside neighborhood will have the 10th annual Street Fest, a community block party with live music, vendors and family-friendly activities. The event also raises funds to maintain neighborhood common areas and support James A. Garfield IPS School 31 and Southeast Neighborhood School of Excellence.

The association’s board is looking for “a design that captures a decade of creativity, connection, and fun,” according to the group’s Facebook post. The contest is also open to community members who live outside of the neighborhood.

Bates-Hendricks Neighborhood Association’s street fest logo contest will be held until midnight Saturday, Feb. 28. Entries can be submitted through the neighborhood’s website.

Applicants will be notified Sunday, March 15 and the winner will be announced Monday, March 16.
