Bates-Hendricks will host its 9th annual neighborhood street festival on Saturday, Sept. 13.
“We’re turning our quiet little corner into a full-blown music fest (sorry in advance, Steve from down the street),” stated a social media post from the neighborhood association.
The family-friendly event will include activities, local vendors and live music:
- 3-4 p.m., Katalina Valle
- 4:30-5:30 p.m., Caid & Co
- 6-7 p.m., Good Lord, Rose!
- 7:30-8 p.m., Beyond Me Music Group
“Expect lawn chairs in the road, kids dancing like no one’s watching, and your neighbor Greg absolutely shredding on guitar like it’s 1985 again,” the neighborhood association wrote on social media.
The Bates-Hendricks Street Fest will be from 3-8 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 13, at the corner of Lincoln and New Jersey streets.
The festival is free, but attendees are encouraged to donate $5 or provide school supplies and personal hygiene items for James A. Garfield IPS School 31 and Southeast Neighborhood School of Excellence.
