Southsiders have a few more opportunities to spend time outdoors with neighbors before the winter weather begins.

The Bates-Hendricks Neighborhood Association will host a neighborhood cleanup and native planting noon to 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 26, at Ringgold Park, 1500 Ringgold Ave. Tools will be provided.

The neighborhood group will also host a fall appreciation party to celebrate residents. The festivities will include a bonfire, s’mores and apple cider 6-7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29, at Lincoln Lane Coffee Co., 302 Lincoln St.
