Prospective college students and students in the 21st Century Scholars program are invited to attend a free college night Dec. 5 organized by the Center for Leadership Development

Get the backstory

INvestEd, an Indiana nonprofit that offers free financial aid assistance, will help students and parents complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid.

Representatives from the state Commission for Higher Education will provide information about the 21st Century Scholars program and help families learn how participating students can stay eligible for the scholarship.

Students and families can speak with admissions representatives from several Indianapolis colleges, including Butler University’s Founders College, the school’s two-year program that will welcome its first class in fall 2025. Representatives from Ivy Tech Community College, Marian University — and its two-year St. Joseph’s College — and Vincennes University’s Aviation Technology Center will also be present.

If you go

The event will be from 6-8:30 p.m. Dec. 5 at the Center for Leadership Development, 2425 Dr. MLK Jr. St. You can register for the event on the center’s website.

If you plan to fill  out the FAFSA, make sure to create your Federal Student Aid account in advance and bring relevant paperwork, including tax documents, bank statements and child support payment records.
