The Center for Leadership Development will host five events this spring to help Indianapolis students and families complete their Free Applications for Federal Student Aid.
The first event is Jan. 28 and you can register online. The event is open to prospective college students and 21st Century Scholars, as well as their families.
Staff from INvestEd, a Carmel-based nonprofit that offers free financial aid assistance, will be on site to help families.
The Commission for Higher Education will also be at the event to provide information about the 21st Century Scholars program, and there will be a college fair where students and families can get information about college and university programs and opportunities.
In Indiana, high school seniors are required to fill out FAFSA or opt out by April 15.

The events will be from 6-8:30 p.m. at the Center for Leadership Development, 2425 Dr. MLK Jr. St.

- Jan. 28
- Feb. 11
- March 11
- March 19
- April 10
If you’re planning to fill out the FAFSA at the event, bring your 2023 tax information, Social Security or immigrant registration number and records of untaxed income or child support.
You should create your Federal Student Aid account ahead of the event, as the approval process takes several days.
