Grant applications for community projects on the Far Eastside are now open.
The Early Action Fund Mini Grants are for projects to fulfill the Far Eastside’s Quality of Life Plan. The neighborhood’s plan was certified by the city earlier this year. The projects must benefit the community within the Far Eastside boundaries of 46th Street, Carroll Road, Washington Street and Arlington Avenue.
The grants range from $500 to $10,000. Each project must fall under one of the five areas of the neighborhood’s quality of life plan:
- Housing affordability and equitable growth
- Financial stability and economic opportunities
- Safe and healthy environments
- Multigenerational power
- Art, culture and belonging
Residents, local businesses and organizations on the Far Eastside can apply for the grants. Applications can be submitted online. The deadline is Sept. 30.
