It’s tax-filing season, and some Indianapolis residents can receive free help.

The Indy Free Tax Prep program provides services to people who have a household income of $66,000 or less.

United Way of Central Indiana and John Boner Neighborhood Centers will kick off this year’s program with an open house 10-11 a.m. Jan. 29 at the Boner Center, 2236 E. 10th.

People seeking assistance can meet with volunteer tax preparers and representatives from United Way, the Boner Center and the IRS.

Indy Free Tax Prep will run Jan. 29 through mid-April. Find more information about the program online.
