Leadership Indianapolis is hosting Get on Board, a free community event at Newfields on Tuesday, June 25. It’s like a job fair, but for nonprofits.

The public can connect with more than 100 local organizations to learn about becoming a volunteer or serving on a board or committee. The event goes from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., and registration is required. Nonprofits can also apply to be an exhibitor.

Everyone who goes to the event can explore Newfields for free throughout the day

Leadership Indianapolis has already started a series of online workshops to train community members who serve on or are interested in joining nonprofit boards.
