How do you plan to reach out to constituents about what their needs are?
I plan to reach out to the voters of Center Township by fliers and door to door contact.
What is the top issue facing your district that you think you would have the power to address as constable?
The top issue I hear is that many voters in Center Township do not even know who their township constable is. I plan to attend community meetings, visit churches within the community, get to know who is within the neighborhood association.
What role does a good constable play in township government?
The role of the constable to carry out orders as directed by the small claims court judge, have qualified staff, serve the township in a professional and dignified manner, notify the residents of any changes that legally apply to them by news and mail-outs.
One issue we hear consistently is that people aren’t properly served. What efforts would you make to serve legal paperwork to people?
It will be my as constable to make sure that the residents of Center Township are properly served. I will create a quality of service survey to all residence served for feed back on conduct of officers. I will ride with all officers on staff to review how their conduct and communications skills are. I will create a evaluation form to grade officers on a every six-months basis.
How would you vet deputy constables?
All deputy constable officers will be ask to re-apply for employment. All new hires will go through the interview process: background checks, qualifications, character, trustworthy, drug test, weapons qualification, uniform clean expectations.
