Head to Haughville on Sept. 11 and Sept. 13 for this year’s Parade of Hope celebration.

The Parade of Hope is an event held by various Indianapolis churches every year to bring spiritual and physical aid to a different part of Indianapolis every year. This will be the event’s fifth year.

This year, the event will kick off with a church service at 7 p.m., Sept. 11, at Pleasant Union Missionary Baptist Church, 1202 Eugene St.

The event continues Sept. 13 with a parade at 11 a.m. that will go from the intersection of 10th Street and Belmont Avenue to Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 1301 N. Goodlet Ave.

Immediately after the parade, there will be a community giveaway until 4 p.m. that includes clothing, food, toiletries and items for children.
