Allissa Impink has won the Democratic primary in Indiana Senate District 46.
Impink, a former teacher and child welfare case manager who serves on the board of Indianapolis Public Schools, has 69% of the vote with 99% of all votes counted. Clif Marsiglio has 19% and Sam Glynn has 12%.
The Associated Press called the race shortly after 9 p.m. Impink also put out a statement declaring victory.
“This victory belongs to the volunteers who knocked on doors in the cold and rain, to my family and my husband who have supported me in every way,” Impink said in the statement.
No one else is running in November at this point in the Democratic-leaning district.

Impink was one of three Democrats seeking their party’s nomination. Marsiglio is an eastside neighborhood organizer and Sam Glynn is a Gen Z candidate with limited experience.
Impink’s campaign focused on affordability, expanding childcare and investing in public education.
Born and raised in Indianapolis, she lives in Fletcher Place with her husband, Matt. They have three children.
Senate District 46 includes all of downtown and stretches from Hawthorne on the west side to Warren Park on the east side and Garfield Park on the south side.
The district is currently represented by Sen. Andrea Hunley, a former Indianapolis Public Schools teacher and principal elected in 2022. She’s leaving her seat to run for mayor.
