You can attend a full moon yoga party Sept. 26 in downtown Indianapolis.
The event, from 7-10 p.m., includes a free yoga class, music by local DJs and food and drinks from vendors. Participants should bring their own mats and water. Glow sticks and swag are available first come, first served.
The party will be at the Admiral Raymond Spruance Memorial Basin at the canal between 10th and 11th streets. The best address is 337 W. 11th St. You can walk to the event or use the Red or Purple bus lines. Bike parking is available at IU Health’s Information and Translational Sciences Building.
The event is hosted by the Indianapolis Cultural Trail, a nonprofit that maintains miles of downtown bike and pedestrian paths. People can grab a spot before the yoga class, which starts at 8:30 p.m. After that, participants will dance under the full moon and watch the color changing lights along the canal.
“We hope people can get a decent workout and it centers them in community,” said Amy Marisavljevic, the cultural trail’s planning and programming director.
While the event is free, you need to register with Eventbrite to reserve a spot.
