A Harvard economist who studies how to reduce poverty is coming to Indianapolis this month.

Raj Chetty, an author and economics professor, will be the keynote speaker at a Christian Theological Seminary Faith & Action Project event. The free event is 4:30-6 p.m. Sept. 25 at Butler University’s Schrott Center for the Arts, 610 W. 46th St.

Chetty will present new research about what cities are doing to reduce poverty and improve outcomes for children. Attendees will learn how to advocate and take action.

This is the 10th year of Faith & Action, which has a mission of moving people out of poverty.
