If you have an eviction on your record, you might be able to get the case sealed so it doesn’t show up anymore.

Indiana Justice Project will host an eviction sealing clinic 10-11:30 a.m. June 6 at Indiana Interchurch Center, 1100 W. 42nd St.

You can meet with an attorney for free to see if your eviction cases can be sealed.

In Indiana, an eviction can be sealed if:

  • Your case was dismissed, or
  • The case was decided in your favor, or
  • The judgment against you was overturned, or
  • You owed money and have since paid it off, or
  • You don’t owe money, and it’s been at least seven years since the case ended.

You can find more information about eviction sealing at indianalegalhelp.org. And you can learn more about what to do when facing eviction using Mirror Indy’s eviction guide.
