The Marion County Public Health Department hosts a series of diabetes education programs for adults each month.
The June classes are 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Tuesdays at the Martindale Brightwood library branch, 2434 N. Sherman Drive.Â
The ABCs of Diabetes program is a four-part program accredited by the Association of Diabetes Care & Education Specialists. The program will cover a number of topics, including medication, nutrition and exercise. The classes will also teach about monitoring blood sugar levels, complications and community resources.
The free program is open to adults with diabetes, prediabetes, family members and friends.
