Are your kids already missing recess? School may be out for the summer, but play doesn’t have to be.
Central Library’s Day of Play on June 27 is being advertised as a recess for all ages.
The event organized to promote the Indianapolis Public Library’s Summer Reading Program will feature activities on all six levels of Central Library.
Activities include a giant ball room, a cardboard fort, a free arcade and performances by a yo-yo champion.
The celebration of play comes just weeks after Central Library cut the ribbon on its newly renovated kids and teens spaces.
Day of Play activities will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 27 at Central Library, 40 E. St. Clair St. A schedule of the day’s events is available on the Indianapolis Public Library’s website.
