A traveling exhibit that investigates the city’s polluted past will be on display at the Indianapolis Central Library, 40 E. St. Clair St., through Aug. 7.
The “Indy Toxic Heritage: Pollution, place and power” exhibit blends history and recent news stories from local communities to show how environmental harm and advocacy for justice have been a part of the city’s past and will be a part of its future.
Liz Kryder-Reid, who is an IU Indianapolis professor of anthropology and museum studies and one of the exhibit’s co-organizers, will hold a talk about the exhibit and related research from 2-3:30 p.m. June 22 at the library.
