Big changes are coming to some eastside and near northside IndyGo routes this summer.

You can find more details about the changes, including maps, on IndyGo’s website. The updates take effect June 14.

Red Line

Route 90 (the Red Line) will be split into north and south segments. Some trips on the south route of the Red Line will operate with 40-foot buses instead of 60-foot buses.

Fountain Square, Pleasant Run and Raymond stations will remain closed due to a construction detour.

Route 3

Route 3 will run every 15 minutes on weekdays between the Julia M. Carson Transit Center and Arlington Avenue/46th Street. On weekdays, alternating trips will continue north to Community Hospital North.

On weekends, all trips will go to Community Hospital North every 30 minutes.

Route 7

A new line, Route 7, will replace Route 3 service on the west side. The route will run every 30 minutes on weekdays and 60 minutes on weekends. Eastside riders must transfer to Route 3 at the transit center.

Route 4

Route 4 will be retired and replaced by Routes 3 and 5.

Route 5 and Route 21

Routes 5 and 21 will run more frequently along East 25th Street.

Route 5 will also extend north to Meadows Drive.

Route 25

Route 25 won’t go to Noble of Indiana West following its closure. [Mirror Indy context: The facility served as an emergency family shelter during the winter months.]

Route 28

Route 28 will run every 30 minutes on weekdays.
