Indiana University Indianapolis is introducing a new degree in community and organizational leadership studies this fall, the university announced Aug. 12.
The new degree will be in the O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs and is the first new IU degree to be added since IUPUI split into IU Indianapolis and Purdue University in Indianapolis in July.
Students can get a bachelor’s degree, minor or a certificate in community and organizational leadership. In the program, students will learn leadership and management skills by taking classes on workforce diversity, ethics, communication and public service.
The program is targeted toward students who have dropped out and are returning to college, transfer students and veteran students, according to the news release.
How to apply
If you’re interested in the new leadership program, you can learn more on the O’Neill School’s website.
New undergraduate applicants should apply to IU Indianapolis first, then will be either directly admitted to the O’Neill School or start in University College, the school’s transition program.
