To finish college, you first have to start. But that can feel very daunting.
What should I study? How can I pay for college? How will my degree get me a job?
Ivy Tech Community College aims to answer these questions and more during its statewide “First Step to Finish Day” event on Tuesday, April 16. At the Indianapolis campus, events for prospective students are scheduled from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Those interested in enrolling will be able to tour Ivy Tech’s Fall Creek area campus at 10 a.m., noon or 2 p.m.
Professors and faculty will be available to offer guidance and information on the benefits of Ivy Tech Indianapolis’ 56 academic programs, from short-term credentials to associate degrees.
[Two of our favorites are Senior Scholars and Ivy Tech’s ELEVATE program.]
The college also will hold information sessions on paying for college, including how to navigate financial aid and what scholarships are available. A resource fair also will help prospective students learn about wraparound supports on campus, such as the multicultural center and disability services.
