A new health clinic on the east side has served hundreds of Indianapolis Public Schools families in its first months open.
The myIPS Employee & Family Clinic at Howe opened in August as part of the IPS district’s Rebuilding Stronger plan. It came alongside the district’s reopening of the former Thomas Carr Howe Community High School as a middle school at the start of the academic year.

The clinic, run in partnership with Ascension St. Vincent, offers health services to IPS employees, their spouses and dependents.
Services include scheduled primary care visits, gynecology, mental and behavioral health counseling, nutrition and health coaching, lab work and on-site prescription pickup.
It’s all available at no cost to IPS employees.
And, employees are taking advantage of the new offerings. IPS officials say more than 400 people have been served through the clinic in its first four months of operation. That includes 318 IPS employees, nearly two dozen spouses and 62 dependents.
IPS Chief Human Resources Office Christina Aden Hamer said in a news release that the health partnership is a “game changer.”
“This initiative is one more way we’re taking care of our people,” Aden Hamer said. “And it’s already making a difference.”
IPS employees and families can learn more about the clinic and its services, and make an appointment, by visiting the clinic’s website. Established patients can also schedule telehealth appointments by contacting the clinic at 317-693-5150.
