Indianapolis eastside and Beech Grove residents are encouraged to share questions and comments at public listening events this week with State Rep. Mitch Gore.Â
The Democratic lawmaker, who also serves as a captain with the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, led the effort last session to ban machine gun conversion devices, including Glock switches.Â
He will discuss priorities for the 2024 legislative session. It is scheduled to convene in January.
Gore said he welcomes feedback from residents on any issues. In addition, he will have information about state services that are available.
The meetings will take place from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Dec. 19 at the Warren Branch library, 9701 E. 21st St., and from 1-3 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 19 at the Silver Linings Coffeehouse, 700 Main St. in Beech Grove.
Gore has been in office since 2020 and represents House District 89, which covers parts of eastern and southeastern Marion County, including Beech Grove.
