Warren Township families can learn more about elementary and middle school changes during a series of upcoming meetings.
As Warren Township prepares to bring fifth graders back to elementary schools next year, administrators say some students’ assigned schools may change.
Warren Township fifth graders currently attend intermediate schools with sixth, seventh and eighth graders. That will change in fall 2027 when the district moves fifth graders back into elementary schools.
The district is building onto four elementary schools this year to make room for the fifth graders.
However, administrators are also studying how many students are assigned to attend each school to ensure enrollment remains balanced across the district.
Warren Township leaders say school assignments could change at both the elementary and middle school levels. However, no school assignments will change this year.
Administrators are exploring the changes for the 2027-28 school year.

District leaders will present a proposed set of elementary and middle school attendance boundaries during two meetings in late September.
Families will be able to review the maps, ask questions and provide feedback on the proposal. Maps will also be available within schools during fall parent-teacher conferences.
The first meeting will be from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Sept. 28 at Creston Intermediate Middle School, 10925 E. Prospect St. The next meeting will be from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Sept. 29 at Stonybrook Intermediate Middle School, 11300 Stony Brook Drive.
The meetings are open to families of all students currently in kindergarten through seventh grade. More information is available on the Warren Township schools website.
