While grabbing a bite on Massachusetts Avenue, you’ve probably seen “Ann Dancing” by Julian Opie, or “Care/Don’t Care” by Jamie Pawlus. Perhaps, while on your bike, you’ve dazzled under “Swarm Street” by Acconci Studio. If you have feelings and opinions about these artworks and the possibility of more artworks in different places along the trail, The Indianapolis Cultural Trail: A Legacy of Gene and Marilyn Glick wants to hear from you.

Today, Indianapolis Cultural Trail, Inc. and Forecast Public Art announced a public art survey that invites the community to help them learn what areas along the trail could see more public art. Some of the questions include:

  • Is there a specific area where you would like to see public art along the Cultural Trail?
  • What message do you want public artwork along the Cultural Trail to send to visitors and daily users?
  • Think about your favorite public artwork that you have seen in another place. What qualities does it have that you would like to see in future public artworks along the Cultural Trail?

The survey takes 5-10 minutes and is open for six weeks. You can fill it out online or visit in person at the Cultural Trail’s office at 132 W. Walnut St. or via QR code access points along the Cultural Trail now through March 30, 2024.
