U.S. Congress
Reports of ICE surge in Indianapolis prompt congressional inquiry
U.S. Rep. André Carson launched a congressional inquiry seeking the scope and probable cause in the “apparent increased enforcement” in Marion County.

Indiana Statehouse
State House Indiana
Rep. John Bartlett wins House District 95 primary
District 94 Rep. Cherrish Pryor and District 97 Rep. Justin Moed also won primary races in the Democratic primary election.
State Senate Indiana
Allissa Impink wins Senate District 46 primary
No one else is running in the November election at this point.
Moorhead wins in Senate District 29 Democratic primary
Former state Sen. John Ruckelshaus was ahead in the Republican primary late Tuesday.

County Races
These are the races we have been watching. You can find full results for Marion County races at indy.gov.
Marion County Sheriff: Kelvis Williams defeats Gregory Patrick with about 55% of the vote.
Marion County Circuit Court Clerk: Kate Sweeney Bell defeats Karla Lopez Owens with 49% of the vote.
Marion County seeks court order over delayed Indiana convict transfers
The Marion County Sheriff’s Office is asking a judge to force the Indiana Department of Correction to follow state law requiring the quick transfer of felony-sentenced convicts to state custody.

Township Races
These are the races we have been watching. You can find full results for Marion County races at indy.gov.
Center Township
- Constable of Small Claims Court: Kenneth Allen, the incumbent, received 50% of the vote against Byron Dawayne Davenport Sr. and Elijah Lee. Davenport Sr. and Lee received 29% and 20% of the vote, respectively.
Decatur Township
- Constable of Small Claims Court: Incumbent Luke Schmitt is leading Dawson Brown in the Republican primary. Schmitt received 62% of the vote while Brown received 38%.
Lawrence Township
- Board of Trustees: Lisa Chavis received 42% of the vote, ahead of incumbent Steve Talley with 32%.
- Constable of Small Claims Court: Tracey Cantrell received 47% of the vote, Erik Forestal received 36% and Erik Davenport Sr. received 10%.
Pike Township
- Board of Trustees: Incumbent Annette Johnson led the race for the Democratic nominee for Pike Township trustee with 57% of the vote.
- Constable of Small Claims Court: Paul Woods received 45% of the vote, ahead of incumbent Arthur (Art) Rowley with 29%.
Warren Township
- Board of Trustees: James Taylor led with 30% of the vote, followed by incumbent Vernon Brown with 26%, Jacque Bartlett with 25% and Marie Hitze with 19%.
- Constable of Small Claims Court: Osnel L. Andre Sr. received 46% of the vote, ahead of incumbent Charles W. Staples with 22% and William Jackson with 32%.
Washington Township
- Constable of Small Claims Court: Incumbent Steve Miller is leading Kevin Thomas. Miller received 51% of the vote while Thomas received 49%.
