Every year, Eagle Creek Park attracts thousands of bird watchers from around the world. Now, during the height of migration season, the park will hold its biggest event of the year, its Birding Festival.

On May 11-12, the park will offer free guided hikes, bird programs, crafts and workshops as part of its seventh Annual Eagle Creek Park Birding Festival.

The free activities include a warbler watch where guests can spot various species, multiple hikes around the cofferdam loop and other areas of the park, children’s storytime and crafts, guided bird watching tours and screenings of bird-related documentaries.

Guests can register to take part in paid activities, such as the $15 Open Water Birding Extravaganza, where guests learn to find and identify birds from their canoe or kayak; $15 Forest Bathing Walk; or the $10 bird feeder workshop.

For a full list of bird festival activities, head to the Eagle Creek Park Bird Festival site.
